Quad Pilates — private one-on-one Pilates studio in Arcadia, Phoenix, AZ
More attention. More intention. Every session.
What sets us apart isn't a piece of equipment — it's the way we work. Every session is one-on-one, an hour built entirely around you and how your body moves that day. No shared rooms, no routines watered down for a crowd. Just full attention, and the method taught the way it's meant to be.
The method, taught the way it's meant to be.
Every session is one-on-one, built entirely around your body. We work the full method: Reformer, Tower, Chair, and Barrels, grounded in Joseph Pilates' principles of concentration, control, centering, flow, precision, and breath. No shortcuts. No routine watered down for a room full of people. Classically inspired, and taught with your full hour of attention.

Your hour. Nobody else's.
There's no group class here, no shared room, no waiting your turn on the reformer. When you book a session, that hour belongs to you and only you. Patti isn't circulating between five people trying to keep everyone moving. She's watching how your spine responds to a single exercise, and adjusting before you even ask.
How a private hour is structured
Today's session isn't yesterday's.
Tight hips on a Tuesday, low energy on a Friday, a shoulder still cranky from the weekend. Patti reads your body before you're two minutes in and shapes the hour around it. There's no set sequence to push through. If something needs more time, it gets more time.
How each session is built around you
Extra support, when your body wants it.
The movement always comes first. Around it, Patti brings in tools like Far Infrared heat, red light, and PEMF when your body can use the extra support: warmth that eases circulation, light that nudges cells toward repair, a gentle pulse that helps you recover between sessions. None of it is the point of the hour. It's there when it helps, and skipped when it doesn't.

I have been seeing Pattie now for about 6 months and I can honestly say it has been an amazing journey. I go about two times a week because of my schedule and everytime I leave I say "that was an amazing workout"! Pattie has also been great about working with some back issues that I have and trying to help me strengthen my back. Please give Pattie a call and try Pilates.... life changing.

I can't say enough about how great Patti at Quad Pilates is! Fantastic instruction, great location and all of the equipment that you would ever need. One of the best decisions that I have ever made regarding my health.

The other trainer at Quad Pilates.
Nearly two decades. Still learning.
Patti Mehl is a third-generation, classically-trained instructor with nearly two decades of teaching in the Valley. After years of debilitating back pain, scoliosis, and a spinal fusion, she found Pilates. Within a year she walked away from the medication and injections she'd relied on.
That experience shapes everything we do here. When Patti works with you, she's not just an instructor. She's someone who has been in your body's situation and knows the way through.

Common questions.
- Do you offer group classes?
- No, and that's intentional. Every session at Quad Pilates is one-on-one. You'll never share your hour with someone else, and Patti's full attention is always on you.
- I've never done Pilates before. Is this right for me?
- Absolutely. Patti works with everyone from first-timers to seasoned athletes. Your introductory session starts with a full assessment so we understand exactly where your body is before we begin.
- How is this different from the Pilates I've seen at a gym or in a group class?
- Group reformer classes teach a simplified version of the method designed to work for a room full of bodies at once. Here the work is classically inspired and taught specifically to your body on the full apparatus. It's a fundamentally different experience.
- Are you a classical studio?
- We're classically inspired, not classical — a true classical studio requires classical equipment. What that means for you is the rigor and structure of the original method, taught one-on-one and adapted honestly to your body.
- What should I wear?
- Comfortable, fitted clothing you can move freely in — leggings and a fitted top work great. Grip socks are recommended (we have some if you need them). No shoes on the apparatus. Just bring yourself and your goals!
